Thrive’s Creative Community Challenge for Mental Health Awareness Week 2025

This Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re inviting schools across the UK to take part in our Creative Community Challenge! The theme for 2025 is ‘Community’, and we want to celebrate the inspiring, inclusive ways schools are helping pupils feel connected, supported, and emotionally safe.

Whether you’re running a whole-school kindness campaign, building a pupil-led wellbeing zone, or creating a community mural — we want to hear all about it.

💡 What’s the challenge?

Show us the most creative initiative your school has introduced to build a sense of community and support mental health. This could be something brand new for Mental Health Awareness Week, or something brilliant you've already started developing with your pupils.

🏆 What’s the prize?

The winning school will receive £150 to invest back into your community-building efforts — whether that’s buying resources for your wellbeing space, kickstarting a new pupil project, or bringing your wider community together.

🎥 How to enter:

We’d love to see a short video (under 2 minutes) explaining your project and its impact.

We know that not all schools are able to include pupils on camera, so we’ve made it flexible. If a video isn’t possible, you can send photos of your project in action alongside a short written summary (150–300 words) telling us:

  • What you did
  • Why you did it
  • How it brought your school community together

We’re looking for creative ideas and meaningful impact – not polished productions!

Deadline for entries: Monday 12th May

Please send entries to socialmedia@thriveapproach.com. If you’re submitting a video, it may need to be shared via WeTransfer or a similar file-sharing platform due to file size limits.
